20th Anniversary of Nirvana’s Nevermind

20 years ago (September 24, 1991) Nirvana released Nevermind and changed music forever.  On January 11, 1992, Nevermind overtook Michael Jackson’s Dangerous on the Billboard Top 200 to became the nation’s highest-selling album.  It would remain in the Top 200 for 253 weeks.  To date, more than 3o million copies have been sold worldwide.  The album’s first single, “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” became an instant classic and will always reminds me of the nights I spent listening to the 99.5 FM “9 at 9” radio show on my Walkman.
